SPA UK App Privacy Policy

Shree Prajapati Association UK (“SPA UK”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the SPA UK app collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use the app.
This policy applies to the SPA UK mobile app.

Event submission forms
If you submit an event for SPA UK to review, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, event details, event contact information, suggested notification wording and any notes you provide.
This information is used by SPA UK administrators to review, manage and publish event information where appropriate.
App analytics
We may use app analytics to understand how the SPA UK app is used and to improve the app. This may include information such as which sections are opened, which events or articles are viewed, and when external event or registration links are selected.

Event Submission Content
If you submit event information through a form, SPA UK may use the submitted details to create or update an event listing in the app. Submitting an event does not mean it will automatically be published. SPA UK will review event submissions before publication.
Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including app operation, feedback review, event administration, record keeping and service improvement.
We may delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed through the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
The app is intended for the SPA UK community and general users. If a child uses the app and submits personal information, this should be done with the involvement of a parent, guardian or responsible adult where appropriate.

- avoid including personal information in free-text responses unless necessary

Users of the SPA UK app can request deletion of personal data they have submitted through the app, including feedback form submissions, event submission details and push notification registration data where applicable.

Please include enough information for us to identify the data you want deleted, such as your name, email address, the form or event involved, or the device/app details used when submitting feedback.
We will review and process deletion requests as soon as reasonably possible, unless we need to retain certain information for legal, security, safeguarding or administrative reasons.
